The first passenger train on the Southwold Railway for 97 years at Blythburgh

Last Bank holiday Monday at our Open Day on 6th April 2026, at 11am, an historical event took place. We ran the first passenger service on any section of the trackbed of the Southwold Railway,  since the railway closed on Friday 11th April 1879. We had created souvenir tickets especially for the occasion but we will also be issuing souvenir tickets for further runnings on our next Open Days on 17th May, 26th July and 13th September. These events will take place at Blythburgh Station just off the A12, which is next to the Village Hall and opposite the White Hart Public House.
