19 Mar Industrial Archaeology at Blythburgh as we uncover the Station building
Current industrial archaeology being carried out on the site of Blythburgh Station.
We have been carrying out some metal detecting. The bucket contains our finds. The glass is from the windows, possibly the booking office. Under the glass is part of the lintel from the fireplace, which was not where it is shown as on the plans of the building. We will continue looking for it and uncovering more of the station as work continues.
